Summary of Role:
The Service Solution Architect for Raytheon Intelligence Solutions (IS) will be responsible for the design and delivery of IT Services for Intelligence Programmes that have strategic importance for a UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) customer. This will involve work both on current operational systems and on service definition for future business bids.
The Service Solution Architect will provide the skills, knowledge and experience to formulate a solution that will not only address the customer's service requirements but also ensure the solution complements and fits with existing and future services. The Solution Architect will be aware of the organizations strategy and the under-pinning policies that support the strategy going forward.
Raytheon UK is looking for a dynamic and high performing Service Architect with good MoD or Government experience to work within Raytheon's Intelligence Solutions business to deliver large scale information systems capability development, delivery and sustainment projects that have significant operational and strategic importance. This is a complex and challenging role that will be highly rewarding and high profile, with extensive communication and interfacing requirements with the programme stakeholders, demanding excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of energy and stamina. The work location will primarily be based at Customer Sites in the UK with frequent visits to other company sites and occasional travel to the US.
The Service Solution Architect will be directly responsible to the Chief Technology Officer for the development of the Service Design for a multi-site enterprise architecture. This will include the evolution of current systems and the continued development of a converged service architecture working towards a simpler customer experience. Integration of the capabilities of discrete systems into Enterprise service offerings will be key to the success of this programme.
Preparation and review of Service Architectures and their implementation for Government protectively marked systems ;
Working with Government agencies, partners and suppliers to design and deliver winning Service Strategies and move these through to implementation;
Support Raytheon In Service Support and Mixed Logistics Support teams in moving across to ITIL framework compliant Service delivery organisations;
Essential Candidate Requirements :
Significant experience in Service definition and delivery within a secure environment working with UK military or government agencies;
Proven success as a Service Solution Architect within a related whole lifecycle Systems Engineering role delivering complex services;
Demonstrated experience managing all technical aspects of a Service Life-Cycle from Requirements definition to Service Obsolescence;
Experience of significant Service Management and Design roles under the ITIL framework including managing client engagements;
Established technical experience delivering major, complex programmes, and in particular, direct experience of technical delivery of complex Information Technology (IT) services;
Proven success integrating efforts and products from major subcontractors;
Knowledge of security architecture, multi-level security engineering solutions, deployments and accreditation;
Demonstrated experience working effectively in matrix environment including working collaboratively with multiple teams across agencies and physical locations;
Strong communication skills, written, oral and listening skills; strong business acumen and diverse business perspective; ability to think logically and strategically;
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at various levels including the leadership team, customers, and suppliers;
Holder of current SC clearance;
Knowledge of in-service support/service operations in a Defence Intelligence environment;
Familiarity with UK Ministry of Defence policies and acquisition processes (AOF);
Knowledge of IMINT and SIGINT/ELINT, COMINT, MASINT, OSINT, HUMINT and the analysis of the data and information;
Knowledge of Virtualised systems hosted in multiple data centres across an enterprise;
Holder of current DV Clearance;
Knowledge of systems requirements management and object based design decomposition methodology and tools;
