Job Responsibilities:
Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator

Location: candidate can be located in Montreal or Ottawa

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the incumbent will be responsible to provide the necessary support and guidance to Golder's employees and take an active role in the implementation of HSE initiatives and programs.

The incumbent's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Collaborate with the team to support managers, consultants and employees in relation to HSE challenges;
* Promote and maintain a HSE culture of excellence and commitment, and support national initiatives;
* Participate in the implementation of HSE practices and provide support to managers and employees;
* Propose recommendations for HSE programs;
* Provide assistance in HSE audits, prepare appropriate reports and take part in sites inspections;
* Prepare and review monthly incidents reports;
* Participate in the subcontractor management process;
* Support technical groups in the new employee HSE orientation process;
* Provide assistance and expertise in tasks safety analysis;
* Perform ergonomic assessments;

Job Requirements:
Conditions of Employment
* Collegial diploma in a relevant field (HSE, environment, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene) or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience (ideally in an industrial environment or construction);
* Computer software skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
* Fluent written and spoken French and English;
* Available for work requiring travel and overtime as required;
* ASP construction certification;

* Strong aptitudes and interest in risks prevention;
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication;
* Strong persuasive ability;
* Orientation towards action, results, and sense of autonomy;
* Solid experience in accident investigations;
* Sense of initiative;
* Good judgment and analytical mind;
* Ability to prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure;
* Teamwork;
* Ability to work on multiple cases at once;
* Attention to detail (rigor);
