The Ports, Marine & Coastal Team:
The Ports, Marine and Coastal ATEC (Americas Technical Excellence Center) of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff provides diverse strategic consulting, planning, engineering design, and construction management services for the Ports and Intermodal Rail market sectors. Our group is comprised of highly-motivated analysts, planners, and engineers with a variety of technical backgrounds including economists, business analysts, operations analysts, and civil, environmental, coastal and structural engineers. We operate directly and collaboratively with our local offices across the US to serve public and private clients in the US and around the globe. Position Description:
This position offers a career growth opportunity in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) area for the right individual. Reporting to the Director of PM&C, Western Division, this position primarily serves as the PM&C market sector lead for the PNW and supports maritime business development, marketing and project execution efforts of the Seattle office. Working in consort with the Seattle office Area Manager, develop marketing strategies and Client Relationship Management (CRM) plans for the maritime market sector. Business development and technical emphasis is to be focused on the Northwest Seaport Alliance and the Intermodal Railroads and the Terminal Operating Companies in the PNW. This position will also provide business development, marketing and/or technical assistance to the Portland Area office as well as other PM&C US and international regions when called upon.

Detailed responsibilities include:
      • Marketing strategy/CRM plan development and client relationship building
      • Coordination of team efforts for proposal development in consort with local marketing resources
      • Participate and/or Lead marketing and proposal presentations
      • Manage project teams, perform project services and provide staff coordination on PM&C projects including dredging, grading, roadways, track work, utilities, drainage, pavements, wharves, and other such marine terminal structures and facilities
      • Provide project oversight including quality control, budget and schedule control, progress status reporting, invoicing and payment collection
      • Develop/review project construction cost estimates
      • Participate in technical conferences and seminars

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • The position requires a bachelor's degree in either Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical field focused on facilities operations, space planning, and/or design.
      • Washington and Oregon professional engineering registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months) in a design profession is required.
Experience/Skills Required:
      • The successful applicant must have at least fifteen (15) years of working experience in the Ports, Marine & Coastal market sector with a minimum of ten (10) years of project management and delivery experience: heading project teams with diverse backgrounds; developing client relations; preparation of proposals and winning project work; leading and performing project work; developing and maintaining project scopes, schedules, budgets; and mentoring staff.
      • The candidate must have excellent oral and written English communication skills, must be self-directed, and must have demonstrated project analysis, management, marketing, presentation, technical and staff supervision skills.
Desired Qualifications:
      • A master's degree in a relevant field is a strong plus.
