We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Team Leader for our depot in Neasden - London


The Operations Team Leader will ensure Bombardier meets & exceeds our contractual requirements for the introduction of new Projects, working with Project teams, Engineering, Customers and Suppliers to devise solutions for technical and operational issues affecting our products.
He/she will lead the TSSSA project implementation at depot, controlling and prioritising activities, problem solving, dealing with Engineering to resolve reliability issues, ensuring provision and delivery of 24/7 customer Technical Support Helpdesk, providing customer facing aspects of contract delivery.
He/she will be responsible for the implementation of all site based TSSSA activities at Neasden and Ealing Common Depots for the S Stock fleet. Focusing on reliability via detailed analysis of failure data and customer support. He/she will be responsible for the recruitment, training and competency of Train System and Warranty Technicians on the S Stock project and of ensuring that Train System are trained both in Health and Safety and train systems ensuring compliance and competence.

Your Tasks

  • Ensure contractual obligations are adhered to and units under warranty are kept in service
  • Liaise with BT & LU Engineering to ensure all technical data is achieved and recorded on failed items
  • Ensure warranty claims are raised in accordance to company procedures
  • Attend regular face to face meetings with the Customer to resolve and impending issues

  • HNC/D in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience (Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical specialization)
  • Recognised Engineering apprenticeship plus Managerial and leadership experience preferred
  • Previous rail industry experience in a similar role would be ideal but not essential.
  • Hands on skills as well as technical capabilities.
  • Excellent communications skills - capable of dealing with all levels of the organization and Customers.
  • Effective team player, with the ability to work individually.
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
  • Very strong IT skills and the ability to interpret and act upon available data.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Experience in SAP
  • Knowledge of Maximo (would be a plus)
  • Flexible in terms of types of work, locations and hours
