WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate need for a Traffic Engineer in our San Diego office to provide technical expertise and support in traffic engineering, transportation planning, traffic operations and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Training and/or experience in traffic signal design, lighting design, signing and striping design, signal timing, ITS design, and traffic modeling and studies including use of Synchro software, are desirable. Skills in the use of Microstation and AutoCAD are highly desired.

The specific duties assigned to this position will vary based on the individual's experience, with duties to include:

      • Write technical reports related to traffic design and traffic operations
      • Perform traffic signal, lighting and signing and striping design, ITS planning and design, and other traffic engineering related design
      • Conduct and document field reviews of traffic and system conditions
      • Complete traffic studies
      • Coordinate with other disciplines
      • Assist with project and/or task management, including tracking scope, schedule and budget

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
      • EIT or PE
      • At least 3 years of relevant experience
