General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Software Tester to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to assess the functionality of General Dynamics Mission Systems and client technologies. Software Testers are responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting General Dynamics Mission Systems' systems and equipment. In addition, these employees prepare test and diagnostic programs, plan and arrange labor, and organize schedules and equipment required to test and evaluate standards and special devices.
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation and the ability to further enhance General Dynamics Mission Systems' technology.
The Software Tester position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or a specialized area, field or the equivalent and at least eight to ten years of related work experience. Applicants with a Master's degree and a minimum of six to eight years of related experience are also eligible.
Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
