WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is currently looking for a Principal Technical Specialist to join our Transit and Rail, Technical Excellence Center. Based in either New York City or Atlanta you will be part of a dynamic and growing team dedicated to meeting client expectations through the provision of highly experienced local resources.

In this role you will be responsible for providing quality assurance / quality control expertise and oversight during the design and manufacture of rail vehicles, subsystems and components. Our teams provide high quality multi-modal engineering support to high-profile, national and international projects. Transit modes shall include but may not be limited to streetcar, light rail, heavy rail and high-speed rail. You will actively participate in all areas of project cycles, from the design phase through the final close-out. Potential projects will include new vehicle procurements and vehicle overhaul programs.

      • Assume responsibility for the preparation of technical reports in accordance with PB's ISO requirements
      • Develop and prepare quality assurance processes and procedures

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
Experience/Skills Required:
      • A minimum of ten years of experience as a quality assurance / quality control professional in transit and rail systems
      • System assurance and safety management systems experience
      • Preferred experience and/or credentials to include:
          • Previous employment by a rail vehicle manufacturer
          • Certified ASQ or RAB Quality Auditor
      • Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas both orally and in writing in the English language
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other industry specific software
      • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
      • Experience in client facing roles and meeting client expectations

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
