About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary
AECOM is seeking Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) Technician to provide engineering and technical services for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA.
  1. Provide RMMCO technical services for the management and distribution of waterfront modernization alteration-related data/information to NAVSEA/FLEET/TYCOMs/NSSA Maintenance Teams for pre-planning, execution and the completion of ship overhaul availabilities.
  2. Access Navy Data Environment, the RMMCO database and direct liaison with other government and military activities, that all shipboard AIT-installed alterations have been formally approved and planned for installation or meet compliance of all waiver requirements.
  3. Provide data/metrics analysis and shipboard installation discrepancies reporting as requested.
  4. Correspond with Type Commanders, Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Maintenance Teams, Systems Commands, Participating Acquisition Resources Managers (PARMs) Ships Program Managers (SPMs), Program Executive Office (PEO) Representatives, Naval Sea Systems Command, ship's force personnel, and other government and military activities as necessary to ensure all modernization prerequisites associated with shipboard AIT-installations have been accomplished
  5. Complete all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements
  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 6 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with the RMMCO Database application at minimum as RMMCO customer.
  • Programmatic knowledge and understanding of processing and closing out RMMCO Forms for SURFLANT, AIRLANT, and SUBLANT alteration-related equipment upgrades is mandatory.
  • Experience using Navy Data Environment (NDE) to navigate modernization applications/programs (NM, CDMD-OA, Entitled Process, and ILS Module) to obtain information verifying alteration maturity and authorization.
  • Experience in reviewing and navigation in NTIRA, AMPS, and RMAIS.
  • Experienced with creating data and navigation in VSB.
  • Experience with Maintenance Team (MT) Integrated Process Team Development (IPTD) conferences requirements and RMMCO integration within process development.
  • Have knowledge of the structure and role of government oversight of contracted ship availabilities for US Navy surface ship modernization and overhaul as it relates to the Naval Supervising Activity (NSA).
  • Experience with shipboard alteration installation and closeout suffice for NDE, NTIRA, AMPS, RMAIS, VSB experience.
  • Possess a current Security Clearance and able to obtain Common Access Card.
