About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Drinking Water Design Engineer/Project Manager to join our expanding Stevens Point, WI Water Department (currently 18 people) that focuses primarily on drinking water system evaluations, master planning and design. This position also includes project /client management and assistance with project sales. This exciting position is for a mid- to senior level person looking for a challenge who will be responsible for managing a variety of water related projects for various clients. Project work will include various studies associated with public drinking water systems.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Project financial management, proposal preparation, managing project team members and ensuring that products are delivered on time, within agreed upon budgets and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Management of a small technical team
  • Responsible for quality control standard compliance and to ensure that project staff follows corporate safety guidelines
  • Manage several projects at any one time and will have project teams consisting of one to several staff
  • Project team members will include technical specialists that address the technical needs of the projects
  • Responsible for a wide variety of projects, possibly including water system master plans, hydraulic distribution system modeling, water audits, water quality studies, disinfection, water supply sustainability, fire flow capacity, energy evaluations, water main replacement analysis, water vulnerability and emergency response, and Safe Drinking Water Program audits
  • AECOM will also look for this person to develop client relationships with local municipalities and to subsequently manage water system related projects for these clients

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 8 years of experience
  • General knowledge of water engineering evaluations and design
  • Expertise In Water System Master Planning
  • A well rounded knowledge of Water Systems
  • Project team management abilities
  • Highly proficient technical writing ability
  • Team communication kills
  • Ability to verbalize project tasks into written proposals
  • Excellent presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with at least 10 years of experience
  • Previous pressure pipe hydraulic modeling experience
  • Previous master planning experience
  • Familiarity with Graphical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Skills in managing projects and people management
