Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Scheduler for immediate employment in the New York, NY office. This position will report to the MTACC Senior Vice President & Program Executive for the Second Avenue Subway Project. This position will be responsible for the development and monitoring of varying types of schedules for Phase II of the Second Avenue Subway Program for Design, Procurement and Construction.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide detailed conceptual schedules from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents
  • Work in a team environment to perform and/or coordinate quantity survey efforts to produce detailed schedules
  • Utilize historical schedule information and organize as required for application to the various types of contract packages
  • Develop conceptual schedules for comparison of various contract packages within the specific contract subcategories
  • Continually work to develop innovative solutions for the various project requirements
  • Participate either as an individual or as part of a team in presentations related to the pursuit, pre-construction, construction or delivery of contracts
  • Participate in project risk assessments and apply and ensure schedules reflect project risks
  • Continually review recently completed project data and incorporate the data into the historical schedule database
  • Development, review and updating of the SAS Phase II Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) and Reports
  • Review of contract packaging approaches (IFB vs. RFP) for procurement of Construction Contracts
  • Evaluation of Contractor(s) Baseline Schedules, Monthly Updates and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)
  • Supervision of a team of schedules to be assigned as the Program matures.
  • Other day-to-day reporting as requested by the SAS Phase II Program Executive and MTACC Senior Chief Scheduler for Programs Controls
  • Provide interface input and internal and external agencies including NYC Transit, MTA Office of Construction Oversight, and its independent engineering consultant, the Federal Transit Administration and their project management oversight consultant

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • 15 years of CPS Schedule experience, including an understanding of the development of Integrated Project Schedule, Time Impact Analysis in both an engineering and construction environment, as well as 10 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity
  • Proficient with the latest releases of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Manager Scheduling software, PMA NetPoint, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)..
  • Process a working knowledge in the use of Cost and Man hour Resource Loaded CPM Schedules
  • Have a keen understanding in the use and analysis of Schedule Risk Analysis software

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in related field
