About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
We are seeking a candidate to provide VTC services supporting HQ USARPAC units and activities. The candidate will provide administrative and technical support in connection with VTC operations, applying knowledge and understanding of VTC equipment and capabilities, networks, policy, principles, methods, protocols, security requirements, and technical practices providing a full range of secure and non-secure VTC operational support.
This candidate will provide customer advice and assistance to plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct video teleconferences which involve meetings, conferences, and presentations. They will review and evaluate requests to identify conference requirements such as times, locations, duration, purpose, senior participants, point of contacts, equipment required to support the VTC conference. The candidate will provide information and advice to users on registration guidelines and network connection policies, such as IP, GVS or ISDN connection procedures.
This candidate will be required to coordinate with senior ranking military and civilian personnel for operational connectivity checks prior to conference start times; set up and conduct quality control checks prior to the start of a conference; operate, adjust, and monitor VTC conferences; troubleshoot operational problems such as audio loss, degraded video reception and crypto malfunctions; coordinate corrective actions; and report interruptions to higher authority.
This candidate will maintain and conduct preventive maintenance IAW manufactures equipment manuals and original equipment manufacturers instructions and applicable TM's. Provide O&M for gatekeepers, encryption devices, multipoint control units (MCU), PRI, BRI, network servers, switches and computers. They will also be responsible for providing technical advice and assistance on the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of diverse network configurations, operating and information systems and VTC suites.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT.
The candidate must be fully knowledgeable and capable of providing operational and maintenance support for the PLWN infrastructure to include managing the Information Assurance requirements.
The candidate will work the core hours, which are between 0800 and 1630 hours at Fort Shafter and shall base operational support out of the USARPAC Mission Command Facility (MCF) or other areas as designated by the Government. Candidates located at Fort Shafter shall provide base operational support out of G6/JCND or other areas as designated by the Government.
The candidate will be on a 24-hour on-call roster. Changes in Contractor personnel core duty hours may be required due to mission requirements, workload, major configuration changes, or exercise support, and shall be approved by the COR prior to the event. The candidate will be required to respond telephonically within 30 minutes of notification and report on site within two hours.
Bachelor's degree in technical field and at least 9 years of job-related experience; Vocational/Technical school or Associate's degree and at least 12 years of job related experience; or equivalent. Candidates should possess excellent communications and analytical skills. Position may require travel. Position requires a Secret Clearance at hire.
Candidate should be certified in CCNA, CISCO, Brocade, or Juniper equipment.
The candidate must have working knowledge of the integrated hardware and software across each enclave.
The candidate must have minimum 7 years of Networking Experience, preferably with Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper equipment.
The candidate must have minimum 5 years of VTC engineering design, configuration and installation experience.
The candidate must have minimum 5 years VTC operations experience with ISDN and IP.
The candidate must be trained in operation of CISCO MCU8000's and CODECS, VCS Expressways.
The candidate must maintain the minimum IA Workforce Qualifications outlined in DOD 8570 for IAT Level II.
The candidate must possess a current Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA) Certification or higher.
The candidate must have advanced network administration skills to include PC hardware and peripherals, as well as a working knowledge of Army enterprise computer systems and integrated software application programs.
The candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft Office application software and Windows desktop operating systems.
The candidate must have working knowledge of Army enterprise computer systems and integrated software application programs is a plus.
The candidate must have the ability to provide systems engineering support in the design, development, production, testing, accreditation and operation of military VTC communications systems.
The candidate must have the ability to communicate in writing, to develop policies, in-depth technical studies, develop plans or specifications necessary for carrying out recommendations for proposed network performance.
The candidate must have the ability to communicate orally in preparing and conducting technical briefings, organizing and conducting training sessions for staff and customers and commercial vendors, to coordinate systems design and development.
The candidate must have the knowledge required to perform network management and help desk duties on the PLWN to include ability to troubleshoot and resolve component and performance problems as they occur.
The candidate must have the ability to manage and troubleshoot emerging IP based Unified Communications services like VoIP, VoSIP, VTC, SVTC, IM, Conferencing and Chat.
The candidate must have knowledge of LAN/WAN software/hardware and network communication interface standards as used in a Cisco network such as switching, routing, in network operating systems on LANs, WLANs, and WAN s utilizing TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and Information Assurance.
The candidate must have knowledge of the network performance (traffic analysis) fault isolation, and protocols to provide a complete end-to-end systems performance monitoring/analysis and change management application reviewing existing operations, (e.g., switches, routers, access points, Cisco VPN and Cisco firewalls.
