About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
Functions as the senior lead in supporting systems administration for the UASOCS program. Analyzes system logs and identifies potential issues with computer systems. Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Installs and configures new
hardware and software. Performs routine audits of systems and software. Adds, removes, or updates user account information, resets passwords, etc. May also be assigned as the Operations Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for up to 25 employees functioning in a Help Desk environment. Essential duties include:
Serves as the technical expert for configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and analysis of UASOCS data processing equipment.
Plans and performs basic configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis and repair of databases, switches, networks, video systems, and long-haul communications interfaces.
Plans and performs help desk, system/network administration, and staff scheduling.
Prioritizes work center organization, equipment, and processes based on performance requirements and mission needs.
Reviews problem reports, assists with root cause analysis, and implements configuration and process changes.
Provides technical and supervisory support to UASOCS systems upgrades and configuration changes.
Assists in implementing software and firmware/hardware updates. Leads complex troubleshooting efforts.
Maintains knowledge of operations procedures and supporting documentation, and leads their development.
Ensures technical support is available for system administrators and maintainers in execution of administration and maintenance tasks.
Uses IT service management system and ensures Information Assurance requirements are met.
Provides client System Administrator (CSA) duties for specific mission systems that require specialized support.
Ensures Information Assurance requirements are met.
Ensures training and mentoring programs and practices are in place.
Performs other duties and tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements
Associates Degree in a technical or business field augmented by ongoing academic/technical training and/or certification programs specific to the work unit hardware/software tools. Possess 7 years experience, that includes 1 year basic network and database administration and 2 years in leadership roles in a DoD operational C4ISR program. Possess 5 years of Active Directory network experience. Possess Comp TIA Security Certification. Trained in information assurance to DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II. Certified as a Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (any discipline) or equivalent. Knowledge and hands-on experience administering Windows XP, Vista, and 7 workstations as well as Server 2003 and/or 2008. Operational experience with unmanned air vehicles and Help Desk is preferred. Must qualify for and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance and possess a current state issued driver's license.
