About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
This candidate will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and operations of a classified and unclassified Windows 2012 child domain within a larger 2012 active directory. They will further support the ongoing operations at the Pinecastl e Range Complex ( PRC ) part of the Combined Tactical Training Ranges (CTTR) facilities. The ideal candidate would be able to work in a geographically dispersed team environment responsible for the management of diverse, complex, and ever changing DoD networks.
They will will be the local technician for the Pinecastl e Range Complex and work with a larger team spread across the East Coast. He or she will respond to server monitoring system alerts, evaluate, and remedy problems. Further the candidate will be responsible to maintains, install, and configure servers, workstations, Ethernet network cabling, other related equipment, devices, and systems within the Oceana range. He or she is expected to support network and system vulnerability assessment and remediation, backups and disaster recovery. They will also maintains up-to-date equipment and software inventories, and network drawings. The candidate will be expected to be able to troubleshoot network, system, and applications to identify and correct system malfunctions, operational difficulties, and and also remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Finally the candidate will also need to provide limited Cisco networking support and support for Linux Servers and Workstations.
Position requires ability to participate in an on-call rotation (outside normal working hours and on weekends) to support the network infrastructure, address critical outages, and stand watch for critical missions.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related discipline
At least 4 years of a combination of IT Training, IT Certifications and progressively relevant work experience in the areas of Enterprise level Windows Active Directory Domain Administration and IT System Maintenance with at least two years of formal education.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the following areas:
Implementing and maintaining Enterprise Level Microsoft Domain infrastructure
Windows Server Administration
Microsoft Active Directory
Ability to successfully manage and maintain current patch levels on servers in an environment distributed across multiple locations using automated Patch Management solutions such as WSUS
Must have a strong grasp of computer system security to include Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
Backups and Disaster Recovery systems
Must maintain DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II.
Documented formal training in maintaining 2008 or later Microsoft Servers and Active Directory Domain infrastructure.
Active SECRET clearance required to start.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License.
