About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Performs systems maintenance and operations. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
As senior technician, applies advanced technical knowledge in complex troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repair to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires detailed understanding of the interrelationships of analog, digital, mechanical, and RF operating system diagnostics and circuits. Exercises independent judgment on tasks such as making circuit analyses, calculating waveforms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, distortion analyzers, computer analytical equipment, time domain reflectometers, bit error rate testers, signal generators, analog/digital multimeters, scopes, and high frequency synthesizers.
Provides technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on assigned equipment. Performs system operation. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for compliance with accepted practices.
Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
Cross-trained and qualified to operate multiple EW systems.
Minimum Education Experience
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Experience Requirements
-Five Years' related experience in:
Digital/Analog signal processing
Radar and radar theory
Video signal processing and recording
Communications (multiplexer equipment)
Digital/Analog computer systems
DC Power supplies
RF Signal processing
Low-voltage AC Equipment
Primary and Secondary power equipment
Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment
Portable AC Generators
-Ability to speak, read and write English
Minimum Position-Specific Training Required
-Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy "C" School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training.
-Three years' operating experience with military search, acquisition, ground control, height finding or fire control radar systems
-Possess a valid state Driver's License
-Active DoD Security Clearance
