Parsons Brinckerhoff's Utah office has an immediate need for a SENIOR SUPERVISING PLANNER to manage the local planning projects. Candidates should have experience in transportation projects, particularly highway and transit; be able to lead the analysis of transportation impacts; prepare studies and documents in compliance with applicable governing statutes; and develop and comply with appropriate permitting and mitigation monitoring processes. Manage scope, schedule and budget and oversee sub-consultants for projects of moderate to large size. Supervise junior and mid-level staff and support their career development. The individual will be actively engaged in business development/marketing activities in the local market.
A solid understanding of transportation planning principles and planning tools will be important. Responsibilities could include analyzing transportation, environmental and socio economic impacts; preparing planning and environmental documents in compliance with applicable governing statutes; providing environmental planning support in the design of major infrastructure projects and supporting public participation and agency involvement activities. The candidate must have excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, writing and communication skills in an office specializing in transportation projects. The position requires the flexibility to travel occasionally for project work in support of other Parsons Brinckerhoff offices.
