WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is leading a multidisciplinary team to manage the construction contracts for Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway Project. We have an immediate opportunity for a Resident Engineer - Transit Systems (Supervising Construction Engineer) to join this team.

Job Duties:
      • Manage a multidiscipline staff of office engineers, field engineers, and project support staff dedicated to the construction inspection of the traction power, signals, and communications systems for the 2nd Avenue Subway
      • Provide technical leadership for the project and supervise construction engineering and inspection activities
      • Coordinate and assign staff activities and independently make decisions to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and is delivered on time
      • Identify out of scope work and changed conditions and provide input for the estimating and negotiating of additional work orders associated to the systems.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction is required
      • 10 years of experience with transit/rail systems construction management
      • Knowledge of track, signals and communication, traction power construction
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Proven leadership abilities
      • Demonstrated record of performance in managing multi-million-dollar construction contracts
The ability to work in the United States immediately is required. Local candidates are preferred.
