Job Summary
AECOM's dynamic Transportation Planning Group in South Florida seeks a talented professional individual to support the Planning, Transportation Demand Management (TDM), and PD&E practice group.
The successful candidate would interact with key area clients and other AECOM project managers to expand AECOM's new and existing services in South Florida. In this position, you may be offering full time support services to the FDOT District 6 Planning Unit.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist/manage on-going planning projects
  • Data analysis
  • Documents review
  • Plans review
  • Attend meetings on behalf of FDOT
  • Develop project scope and schedules
  • Attend regular meetings with other consulting firms working for FDOT
  • Have a clear understating of FDOT guidelines and procedures
In this position you may be required to participate in business development activities, including but not limited to managing preparation of letters of interest, qualifications statements, proposals, and interview materials. Ensure compliance with all Company and project-specific Quality Management System procedures.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning / Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of technology, especially with hardware/software of transportation-related programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with transportation and traffic reviews
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Familiarity with government work and processes
  • Familiarity with transportation document reviews
  • Project management skills, including, quality management, process control, document control
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Adobe PDF Pro skills
  • Experience with local government document and plan reviews
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and requirements
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy; catches consistency items
  • Ability to routinely anticipate tasks and add value to processes/procedures
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly-skilled in managing the schedule, budget, and technical quality of large task orders or components of larger planning programs
  • Excellent client management abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff
  • Ability to serve as on-site extension of staff at client's request
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or other project management and scheduling software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule
