Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Roadway Design Engineer - Project Manager for immediate employment in the Omaha, NE office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading a roadway design group of consisting of a staff of approximately 3 employees at the beginning
  • Performing project management responsibilities on all new roadway projects and becoming a certified AECOM project manager within approximately 6 months of hire date
  • Developing and executing a strong marketing plan to target RFP's from NDOR, City of Omaha, and other municipalities in and around the Omaha Metro area
  • Leading design and plan production efforts on projects while maintaining high quality, meeting schedules, and staying within project budgets
  • Leading the Roadway Design Team to a successful and sustainable level of backlog of work to support office utilization goals important to the company's success within 6 months
  • Mentoring staff to help them learn enjoy and grow in their roles, while leading and supporting the company and office core values that are an important part of the culture in our office, including having fun while at the office
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to assist with the success of the Omaha Transportation Group and Omaha office

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of related experience in the surface transportation industry, with at least 5 years of project management experience
  • PE license in the state of Nebraska
  • Experience preparing proposals and leading presentations with a clear understanding of successful marketing strategies in the sales capacity
  • A clear understanding of the Nebraska state and municipal agencies (including NDOR) and proven relationships with the decision makers in those organizations
  • Successful leadership experience of a team of at least 3 people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and advanced Geopak (Not all 4 are necessary)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active participation with ACEC and NDOR committees and workshops is an important aspect of this position and prior experience is desired
