GDMS is hiring a Computer Forensics Technician to support a Government contract in Linthicum, Maryland. The selected candidate will conduct imaging and data extraction processes on a variety of media to include mobile devices. The Computer Forensics Technician will enhance their-skill set by working among a talented, collaborative and technically accomplished group of colleagues. Upon hire, the candidate will enter a long-standing mentorship program geared towards conducting forensic imaging and extractions using established policies, procedures and techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain Department of Defense forensic certifications while under mentorship. The work will be performed in a laboratory accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Director's Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB).
Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated technical expertise, strong communications skills and the ability to think critically.
Computer Forensics Technicians must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field or the equivalent and eight to ten years of related experience. Applicants with a Master's degree and six to eight years of related experience also qualify.
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
