We are hiring for a Computer Forensic Examiner/Intrusions Analyst to support a Government contract in Linthicum, MD.

The Computer Forensic Examiner/Intrusions Analyst will enhance their skill-set by working among a talented, collaborative and technically accomplished group of colleagues. Upon hire, the candidate will enter a long-standing mentorship program geared towards conducting forensic examinations using established policies, procedures and techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain Department of Defense forensic certifications while under mentorship. The work will be performed in a laboratory accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Director's Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB).

The selected candidate will:
  • Provide forensic examination support for the Department of Defense customer and supporting organizations
  • Conduct forensic processes on a variety of digital media including hard drives, thumb drives, media cards, cell phones and other devices
  • Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develop forensic reports in support of counterintelligence or criminal investigations and other types of inquiries
  • Assist the customer in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures
  • Conduct peer reviews of other examiners' reporting
  • Testify as an expert witness in federal and military courts when required

Basic Qualifications:

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of digital media forensics
  • Demonstrated experience in mobile device data extraction and analysis (CELLEX)
  • Understanding of computer file systems
  • Experience with file system forensics
  • Experience with registry analysis
  • Experience with Internet history analysis
  • Understanding of steganography and encryption detection and analysis
  • Understanding of managing complex large data set analysis
  • Experience with timeline analysis
  • Experience with forensic media imaging
  • Experience with email analysis
  • Experience with signature and hash analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with forensics tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, and Xways
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills with technical report writing experience

Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated technical expertise, strong communications skills and the ability to think critically.

Computer Forensic Examiners/Intrusions Analysts must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or the equivalent and five to eight years of related experience. Applicants with a master's degree and two to five years of related experience also qualify.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. The candidate must have the ability to acquire and maintain a TS clearance.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
