Do you want to be a part of a systems engineering team supporting our Nation's Cyber initiatives• Do you want to challenge your systems engineering skills• If so, General Dynamics Mission Systems is currently seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer for our Scottsdale, Arizona location working on various cyber and cryptographic solutions.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • Designs and develops systems solutions that meet functional, environmental, operational, and performance requirements .
  • Lead the implementation of cost-effective design solutions from concept development through final test and verification .
  • Responsible for the generation of engineering work products and documentation adhering to the appropriate government standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
  • Guides the successful completion of major programs and projects.
  • Works on advanced applications that may result in new business for the company.

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related field, and/or the equivalent experience is required. Advanced degree preferred. In addition, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required, 12 years of relevant experience preferred. Travel may be required.

Candidates with an active Secret Security Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

The successful Senior Staff Systems Engineer must have:
  • Effective experience with systems engineering concepts, principles, processes and theories.
  • Experience with the systems engineering processes, requirements development, design documentation and hardware/software/systems design discipline .
  • Familiarity with encryption and the implementation of cryptographic algorithms
  • Experience developing systems and products for secure voice and secure data user communities.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken and capable of presenting technical concepts to audiences of various technical abilities.
