About Role: Utilise your technical skills to safely maintain a diverse range of equipment at our sewage treatment works, and pumping stations. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment to the highest standards, ensuring purified waste water released to the watercourse is to an exact quality standard to protect our environment and customers. To ensure we are able to respond to maintenance issues at anytime you will be part of a team covering a 24/7 standby rota.|
Ensuring the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public is key to everything we do. You will maintain assets to ensure we achieve our waste water targets and quality standards are met. Your knowledge and experience will help us to identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and the reliability of both equipment and processes.
About You: Maintenance experience in a waste water environment and knowledge of water treatment processes is essential. This will include experience of instrumentation and control equipment, including ultrasonic and pressure level management. You will have completed a time served apprenticeship and have the desire to continuously improve processes and ways of working. Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse information and spot potential problems is essential to success in this position.
Knowledge of PLC systems and programming and/or an understanding of budget control would be an advantage.
