GDMS has an immediate opening for an Image Processing Software Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports a new and growing capability. The Image Processing Engineer will participate in the research, design and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms. Responsibilities also include enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software. In addition, the employee is responsible for coding, testing, integrating and documenting software solutions. More specifically the Image Processing Software Engineer will work with image scientists and researchers as well as other software engineers to create and further refine a highly paralyzed software architecture to achieve a degree of machine learning that will automatically characterize data contained within different types of image datasets.
Specific software skills required to successfully perform in this position include:
The Image Processing Software Engineer position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a similar specialized area or equivalent field and five to eight years of related experience; or Master's degree and three to five years of related experience.
An Intelligence Community Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance with a Polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
