SUMMARY The position is required to serve the customers needs and the requirements of their aircraft in accordance with Jet Aviation policy and procedures by performing the following duties. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for the overall operation of the flight line within established operating procedures
•Responsible for the proper coaching, development and discipline of all direct employees
•Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures by managing employees accordingly in the Supervisors absence
•Coordinates arrivals and departures of the aircrafts with each shift
•Tracks and maintain fuel records and related paperwork on a daily basis
•Coordinates hangar stacking and aircraft ramp parking
•Maintains shift reports and related paperwork
•Responsible for refueling and defueling all types of aircrafts on a daily basis, demonstrating knowledge of specific fueling requirements
•Provides towing and disconnecting services for all types of aircrafts
•Executes hand signals in order to guide aircrafts during arrivals and departures
•Provides service to aircrafts using ground support equipment, e.g. use of GPU for aircraft engine starts and ground power, use of lavatory cart and emptying procedures, etc.
•Communicates with employees and/or crew using radios in order to provide excellent customer service
•Assists in providing aircraft with ice, coffee, catering and other necessary services
•Provides transportation for customers and pilots to and from aircraft, hotels, restaurants and other parts of the airport with courtesy van or bus
•Assists with hangar cleaning the FBO as needed as needed
•Ensure all employees are wearing and using the recquired PPE
•Assists the Supervisor in evaluating and assessing the performance of department personnel, included documented coaching, warnings, etc.
•Communicates changes or additions to company or departmental policies to the staff
•Builds a strong sence of teamwork and develops strong communication skills among team members
•Motivates and encourages department employees to provide the highest service levels
•Encourages active involvement of staff to achieve organizational goals
•Ensures all staff members are neatly dressed in the approved company uniform
•Assists the Supervisor with creating work schedules for the staff, as needed
•Ensures staff members are adhereing and following All Jet Aviation safety policys and procedures
•Other duties may be assigned, as needed
Leads and directs the line service technicians assigned to him/her. Performs duties in the supervisors absence.

• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•Must have a High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related experience as a line service technician and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have proven knowledge of refueling procedures of general aviation aircraft and corporate aircraft, as well as, working knowledge of towing procedures and techniques with the ability to train line service technicians
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Having knowledge of a second language is desirable but not required.
•Since English is the language of aviation, the employee must be able to effectively, proficiently and clearly speak and understand the language.
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
•Must have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
•Must be 21 years of age and either possess a valid Texas Class C Drivers License or be able to obtain one within the timeline required by the Line Service Department
•Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year background check, as well as have a clean driving record
•Must be able to obtain a certificate form NATA Line Service training program
•Must obtain a Houston Airport ID Badge within 30 days of employment
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
•Must have the ability to supervise the staff when needed
