General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Entry-level C++ Software Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems' employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
This Entry-level C++ Software Engineer will participate on a 2-3 person software development team, performing the full software development life-cycle (SDLC) to provide new capabilities for the Trident II Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Training program. The Strategic Weapons Interaction Trainer (SWIT) is an application that is used in a training environment.

Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve General Dynamics Mission Systems software solutions.
The Entry-level C++ Software Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent field and zero to two years of related experience. Candidates with a masters degree may also qualify.
The candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance within 6 months from time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
