General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a IT Workspace Support Analyst to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems and client technologies are functioning as efficiently as possible. The IT Workspace Support Analyst performs a variety of duties in support of a computer and/or client service unit. They respond to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, network and telecommunications systems. Workspace Support Analysts maintain and update records and tracking databases. They install microcomputer hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives. Workspace Support Analysts also load and verify correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, work processing and spreadsheet programs. They also provide training and technical assistance to users.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of technological systems and programming, and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology. The Workspace Support Analyst position requires a bachelor's degree in a related specialist area or the equivalent and 2-5 years of related experience.
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
