General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a IT Workspace Support Analyst to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems and client technologies are functioning as efficiently as possible. Key Responsibilities

The IT Workspace Support Analyst performs a variety of duties in support of a computer and/or client service unit. They respond to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, network and telecommunications systems. Workspace Support Analysts maintain and update records and tracking databases. They install microcomputer hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives. Workspace Support Analysts also load and verify correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, work processing and spreadsheet programs. They also provide training and technical assistance to users.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Strictly adhere to all sponsor and company security policies / procedures within classified and other Limited Access Areas (LAAs)

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Desktop and Laptop hardware / software, and related peripheral hardware.

  • Provide move, add, changes of hardware, software, and phones.

  • Perform PC refresh including returning leased assets and maintaining the asset inventory system.

  • Respond to customer support requests via the Remedy ticketing system, ensuring that requests are updated periodically and are completed per SLA.

  • Provide general customer support, configuration, and upgrades in the area of PC hardware and software.

  • Support patching and security remediation efforts as required.

  • Participate in IT projects and perform other duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of technological systems and programming, and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology. The Workspace Support Analyst position requires a bachelor's degree in a related specialist area or the equivalent and 2-5 years of related experience.

  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Windows 7/8/10, MS Office 2007/2010, Visio, Project, Laptop Encryption software, Anti-virus software, Internet Explorer, Lync, SCCM, Dell Hardware, and Wyse Terminals.

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
