BPL has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Lead to join the IT team within this leading Pharmaceutical Company, which is currently growing due to significant investment.

Reporting into the Enterprise Application Manager, the main purpose of this position is:

To plan, control, co-ordinate and execute a series IT projects which connect to the ERP system. Identifying and engaging the necessary resources and skills, both within IT and other departments across the business. Working to agreed timescales and budget ensuring great communication across the organisation. Typical examples of projects are : delivering new functionality within the ERP, HR & payroll, Document Management, Data Warehousing and BI.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:

* Defining an IT Programme Management methodology
* Designing and implementing the Programme Management methodology
* Developing and maintaining project plans
* Monitoring and reporting progress of Projects within the framework of the methodology
* Escalating strategic Programme Management decisions to IT Management and other relevant business departments
* Promoting and enforcing the Programme Management methodology
* Cascade Programme/Project Management information/updates to IT and other relevant business departments and stakeholders
* Chair workshops and meetings as necessary
* Work directly with 3rd party suppliers
* Communicate user feedback to IT and other relevant business departments
* Manage relationship between IT and the other business departments
* Liaise with technical resources (IT and other 3rd party suppliers)
* Liaise with QA on IT quality and validation issues
* Strategy - Assist with defining and employing programme/project management tools and processes
* Quality Assurance - Assist with defining and applying quality standards
* Development - Create functional and technical requirement specifications, and work with manager to agree on development activities.
* Training - Ensure available tools/skills match BPL's information requirements; identify and arrange appropriate skills training
* Support - Provide expert advice and support to Business Area Specialists and promote communication and collaborative working between them
* Knowledge Base - Provide advice and guidance about business data, (where it is held and how it relates)and tools
* Process - Define a robust process for programme and project management
* Understand business activities/issues and how they relate to IT systems
* Coordinate software delivery/upgrade and patch management
* Oversee release process from analysis, through validation to live promotion
* Monitor resource load and adjust/advise as necessary
* Monitor and report on project status/red flags

The successful candidate will:

* Hold a bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field
* Have strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
* Experience in running projects related to ERP software (ideally IFS), especially supply chain inventory and financials
* Experience of designing and developing management reports and dashboards
* Experience gained within an FMCG business
* Experience of coordinating team of 10 or more and managing budgets of up to £500,000
* Scrum Master Certification or experience of project delivery using Agile
* Ability to manage multiple requests in a result orientated organisation
* Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
* Excellent critical reasoning, decision -making and problem solving skills to analyse situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects
