About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has an immediate opportunity to join our Engineering team at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Overhaul Engineer, ideally experienced with DoD systems.
Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse military electronic/mechanical equipment and systems; participate on design, analysis or review team(s) on more complex engineering assignments.
Conducts research and engineering analysis on DoD communication, weapons, radar and computer systems; Interprets technical documentation to resolve conflicts in requirements and/or performance; utilizes standard test equipment (Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Digital and Analog Multimeters, etc.) without instruction.
Develops, maintains and produces technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications; interfaces with customers at all levels: design reviews, technical working groups, and final design and test activities; conducts site visits and experimental investigations, analyzes engineering problems, proposes solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations; solves average electronics engineering problems with little technical guidance; interprets military drawing standards/specifications, as well as government process for ordering parts; documents work efforts, to include Test Procedures, Engineering Change Proposals, specifications/standards, etc.
Education: Four year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or related field from an accredited education institution
Experience: Five years specialized experience in electronic/mechanical equipment and systems related to tasks below; additional education (MA/PhD) may be substituted for up to 1 year experience
Proficient with Microsoft desktop applications (to include; Word, Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with database management software (i.e. SAP products, SQL, Access, LMP….)
Ability to set up testing procedures and develop requirements associated with equipment as it pertains to Military Specifications and requirements within an SOW; familiarity with production and kitting procedures as well as lean processes.
Some travel may be required to conduct site visits and analyze engineering problems, proposes solutions and recommendations.
Requires good communications and analytical skills.
Must be U.S. Citizen and able to pass / maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Active Secret is strongly Preferred.
