The ACE Lead has responsibility for ACE activity in Banbury which includes training, assessment, PDM, and event management to ensure Corporate and Business Unit ACE objectives are met. This role will assist in driving the Lean Transformation activity at Banbury and driving the implementation of the ACE tools in the progress to Bronze, Silver and Gold accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application of the ACE process and tools to progress the business rapidly and sustainably to ACE Bronze
• Training ACE to the wider team to increase the number of ACE Associates and Practitioners
• Ensuring ACE reporting activity requirements are achieved (including ACP and AMS updates)
• Adherence to all PDM requirements and maintenance of PDPR's and IT's
• Facilitate weekly PDPR meetings including control tower metrics
• Compliance to UTC Ethics, Export control, and Environmental Health and Safety in the ACE team
• Facilitation and leadership of events to achieve the next step to ACE Bronze
• Complete the required ACE Assessments in the UK per ACE council requirements
• Help the Banbury team achieve aggressive ACE Progression to GOLD through facilitation, training, and leadership in the use of the ACE tools
• Support Supplier Development activities where necessary to support business needs
• Development of the ACE Cell pilots knowledge, understanding and culture to ensure that ACE becomes part of the way we do work.

Basic Qualifications:
Job Holder Requirements:

• Significant Continuous Improvement experience preferably in an Aerospace/Automotive environment
• Able to lead kaizen events and command respect to maximise effectiveness of activities
• Demonstrated CI Track Record
• Able to get involved at a detailed level but also able to take a business level strategic view
• Able to work on their own initiative without daily supervision
• Good levels of computer literacy and good presentation skills
• Good leadership and people skills with people at all levels and Highly effective coaching skills
• Determination and resilience to overcome all obstacles, which stop, key deliverables being met, whilst demonstrating behaviours in line with UTC expectations
• Highly motivated and able to assert self within team environment
• Good organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office


• A background in Aerospace, Engineering and or Manufacturing would be advantageous but not essential

Security Clearance:

• As part of the legal requirement to comply with international trade controls, Crompton Technology Group Limited ("CTG") will require all candidates to successfully complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check including criminal record checks. In addition CTG will check the identity of all employees against various government denied party lists prior to making a formal offer of employment.

• Adheres to UTC's Cardinal rules and relevant site specific safety requirements
• Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of themselves and that of their colleagues, raising hazards and issues to supervision where appropriate
• Proactively seeks to introduce inherently safe processes and progressively eliminate health and ergonomic risks from the manufacturing process
