GDMS has an immediate opening for a Mission Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The Mission Systems Engineer/Architect will work with collaborative teams to drive the development of new technology and business initiatives for GDMS and its clients. Key Responsibilities
The Mission Systems Engineer/Architect has technical influence across a wide part of GDMS business, usually in the line of business (LOB). This employee plays a key role in the technical and customer community both internally and externally, and is responsible for driving the development of new technology for GDMS products. Additionally, these employees are tasked with leading the development of Independent Research and Development (IR&D) and helping shape the IR&D program for the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to support future business initiatives. These employees usually serve indirectly or as a consultant to multiple programs.

  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop and implement innovative GDMS business solutions. Mission Systems Engineers/Architects must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent a specialized area, field or the equivalent, and at least 15 years of related experience.

Department of Defense Top Secret / SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
