Program Quality Engineer
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Program Quality Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage a variety of equipment and systems solutions for General Dynamics Mission Systems and its clients. The Program Quality Engineer will design, install and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Additionally the position is responsible to design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. The Program Quality Engineer analyzes production and service limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated and formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Also the position will interface with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues. The position may conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tool.
Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop and implement innovative General Dynamics Mission Systems business solutions.
The Program Quality Engineer must have a bachelor's degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline or the equivalent and two to five years of related experience. Applicants with a master's degree and zero to two years of related experience also qualify.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
