Provide a support service to facilitate the repair, maintenance, redeployment, calibration and certification of Mass spectrometry instrumentation, to customers throughout the UK & occasionally abroad, either by phone, email or on-site visits.
Performing advanced level repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting is a standard requirement.
Service experience for maintenance/repair and validation of Mass Spectrometry instrumentation together with the front end instrumentation, Gas and Liquid Chromatography (GC, HPLC/UHPLC).
An understanding of Liquid and/or Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (LCMS / GCMS) analytical instrumentation is expected and Service Delivery experience on Agilent, Sciex, Thermo or Waters instrumentation, other manufacturers experience is also accepted.
Carry out routine maintenance, emergency repairs and general support on customer's Mass spectrometers and associated equipment.
Liaise with customers staff with regards to the services required for efficient installation, maintenance, moves and relocations and support of proposed items of instrumentation.
Use knowledge and experience to help ensure that a high standard of safety of equipment is maintained. Excellent time management skills and knowledge of working within a regulated environment
Strong communication & customer service skills
Willing to travel on a regular basis throughout the UK and occasionally abroad
Experience of servicing & maintaining Sciex, Thermo and Waters Mass Spec instrumentation is preferable
