About the role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide specialist financial advice to BMA operational personnel and execute tasks related to the development of financial data and analysis to facilitate well-informed decisions. This opportunity is based in our Brisbane office with site travel required on a monthly basis to meet with key stakeholders across the operations.

Specific responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial and management reporting information and ensure this is done in accordance with governance guidelines to fulfil internal control, SOX and Stewardship obligations;
  • Provide financial support and insightful monthly analysis on BMA's operations and projects to drive improved financial performance;
  • Completion of monthly deliverables including (but not limited) to accruals, analysis and reporting;
  • Identify and implement opportunities for the continual improvement within the department;
  • Delivery of the annual two year budget and five year plan financial submissions with supporting analysis; and
  • To become a business partner of influence to BMA operations

About you

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce. Some experience in a similar finance role within mining, manufacturing, process driven industry or consulting background would be an advantage.

You are an enthusiastic, confident self-starter who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team. Your strong technical understanding of budgeting, forecasting and management accounting, will enable you to add value through suggesting of new ideas and process improvements. You are competent in data manipulation and model creation in Excel and have the capacity to acquire competence in use of modelling, forecasting and accounting system such as TM1 and SAP.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you are at ease when working with a range of stakeholders, and will enable you to build and maintain relationships.
