About Role
The operational technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining a number of sewage treatment works and sewage pumping stations. To participate in discussions with the team, on how we can improve i.e. Health and Safety and where efficiencies can be made.
You will not be solely carrying out routine tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of allocated sewage treatment works. You will also be getting involved with the site energy efficiency and optimisation plan to further benefit the business and environment. Undertaking standby and call out duties would form part of the role, whilst working as part of a rota based system.
About You
Having the ability to work well within a team and alone would be the essential capabilities required for the role, along with being mechanically minded and having a practical approach to problem solving.
You will be an enthusiastic individual with the willingness to learn and work towards operator technical training in Sewage and Sludge Treatment.
Having a good use of IT systems and a good understanding of process systems would also be essential as these would be used to record the day to day tasks and ensure all records are kept updated.
