Your new company is one of the UK's leading design and build companies who are looking for a Junior Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager. The company work on new build and fit-out projects ranging in value from £50k through to £10 million working with some of the UK most high profile clients on their flagship projects nationally.
Working across these innovative and exciting projects you will have the opportunity to work with some of the UK's leading construction professionals that will help develop your career.
Your new role
Your new job will be covering projects with a value of between £50k - £500k initially, working closely with the wider project teams on the larger projects with a value of £500k - £10 million. You will be working closely with project teams, managing, making sure the projects run smoothly & efficiently.
You will carry out detailed project plans, including critical milestones used to drive the project efficiency & ensure deadlines are met. You will be very client facing, representing the business & project with clients and contractors on site along with assisting with estimating & project tenders.
You will ensure full co-ordination on site between building works, M&E requirements, CDM and main contractor roles as required. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and sign off completed works to ensure contractual obligations are met. You will supervise all installation works, arranging site labour requirements and supervising all completion works such as snagging and defect lists.
There will be the requirement for some national travel.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this Junior Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager job you must have demonstrable experience in a similar role. You will have a good understanding of all construction trades, along with health and safety. You will understand technical drawings, materials and the full construction process.
