Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is looking for a Engineering Logistics Manager for our Taunton, MA office. The selected individual will manage and support multiple programs/projects across a Business Unit. This position is full spectrum engineering Logistics, with a functional knowledge across multiple domains and processes. The Engineering Logistics Manager will be responsible for ensuring program execution, developing effective Integrated Logistics plans and best practices and improve the Reduction of Total Ownership Costs (RTOC) at the program level. The successful candidate will also support proposals and may be responsible for the development of effective teaming strategies with industry partners, to include subcontractors and other General Dynamics entities.

Duties & Tasks
  • Manage and provide oversight of multiple programs/projects through the associated Logistics Leads
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance, in the areas of Acquisition and Sustainment Lifecycle Logistics
  • Review ILES plans and estimates on proposals, within the business unit, and participate in discussions with business development/program office on those initiatives
  • Providing active oversight on all, GDC4S Taunton business area, ILES related costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements
  • Championing and actively manage associated risks and lead the development of risk mitigation plans that support executable program
  • Provide ILES technical guidance to Project or Engineering Management teams
  • Develop and manage interpersonal relationships within the business unit to ensure proper and successful program execution
  • Ensure continuity between the design engineering, logistics engineering and training teams

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Management or Engineering or equivalent experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 12 years experience in Integrated Logistics Support, acquisition logistics and management experience is required. Masters degree in Logistics Management or Engineering highly preferred. International Society of Logistics (SOLE with Certified Master Logistician (CML) and/or Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) preferred. May be required to travel. This position is recognized as an authority in Integrated Logistics Support with functional knowledge across multiple domains and processes.
