WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a hands-on Rail Engineering Project Manager (Supervising Engineer) to lead a variety of rail and transit engineering projects and tasks. The candidate will become a member of our growing rail and transit group in the Central states, and will work throughout the region with a focus on Texas. This is an opportunity to lead a variety of railroad and transit projects and tasks, including feasibility studies, preliminary and final engineering, program management, and construction oversight. A key area of responsibility will be management and design involving intercity and high speed rail initiatives requiring knowledge of rail design, highway/rail grade crossings, general understanding of train control, etc.

Major Duties:
      • Manage rail and transit engineering projects
      • Manage staff and activities for a project of significant size and complexity
      • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
      • Lead proposals and pursuits
      • Manage tasks as assigned
      • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience/Skills Required:
      • Minimum 10 years of railroad and/or transit industry engineering design experience
      • Computer literate
      • Demonstrated verbal/oral skills
      • Strong technical writing ability
      • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
      • Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience
      • The candidate must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of standard engineering/planning and rail/transit industry-specific principles and practices
      • Candidate must have experience with intercity, commuter, and/or freight railroads, and be capable of making decisions on significant engineering problems and issues
Desired Qualifications:
      • Texas Professional registration (PE) preferred

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
