We have an opening for a Maintenance Planning Analyst, in our Maintenance Engineering Department, Commercial Aircraft. In this role you will provide timely and highest quality support to Bombardier customers to set-up, maintain and continuously improve their Aircrafts Maintenance Plans, with special focus in tracking, modeling, analyzing and optimizing the maintenance effort (labor). This position can be located either in Toronto or Mirabel.

In your role, you will:
  • Collect, analyze, model and develop forecast multiple scenarios of maintenance effort (scheduled and unscheduled) needed to maintain Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.
  • Work closely with Bombardier Service Centres and Authorized Service Facilities, collect and analyze scheduled maintenance data (maintenance programs and planning data) in support of Bombardier CSeries, CRJ Series and Q-Series aircraft Maintenance Engineering activities
  • Monitor aircraft fleet leaders in term of scheduled maintenance, work closely with airlines or their service providers to collect & analyze data, launch corrective action as necessary
  • Prepare technical reports / presentations in support of various maintenance effort (labor) and maintenance planning activities.
  • Support development of aircraft maintenance plans for Bombardier customers, with special focus on maintenance effort (labor)
  • Support customization of aircraft maintenance plan and definition of work packages, effort (labor), resources (tooling and equipment) to best suit airline-specific environmental and operational characteristics
  • Support internal and external customer requests for maintenance effort (labor) planning and engineering deliverables such as analysis, estimates and proposals
  • Identify high maintenance cost drivers and initiate innovative solutions to reduce those costs.
  • Work independently and with other Maintenance Engineering team members to identify maintenance effort (labor) and planning improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate very closely with Maintenance Engineering team members as well as In-Service Engineering, Customer Support Account Managers, Field Service Representatives, In-Service Supplier Management, Marketing / Sales Service and Support, Engineering, Procurement, and other Bombardier cross functional teams.

As our ideal candidate,
  • You have a University degree in Engineering combined with a minimum five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering
  • You have proven knowledge of aircraft systems . Airline experience in maintenance planning / engineering is a definite asset
  • You have strong analytical abilities and experience using statistics to resolve engineering problems
  • You have a robust understanding of aircraft maintenance programs and planning concepts, methods and management; experience in forecasting/analyzing/validating maintenance effort (labor) is a definite asset
  • You are self-motivated, results oriented, you are able to work independently, as well as prioritize tasks and manage multiple time sensitive initiatives simultaneously
  • You are able to conduct multidimensional queries of databases containing historical queries and solutions; able to validate/enhance/improve such solutions
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills as well as a strong Customer focus
  • You have a good understanding of airline operations and independent maintenance organizations, knowledge of their maintenance & engineering structure and functions
  • You have excellent working knowledge of the MS Office suite of products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
  • Occasional travel will be required
