We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer (m/f) for our Rail Control Solutions division in Madrid, Spain.


Your will be tasked with the control of the project execution and supervision of cost, on-time-delivery and quality for projects under development for the South American market. You will be tasked with the coordination and supervision of the engineering resources allocated to the project

Your Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate the overall engineering project work & ensure efficient interface and consistency with other systems; ensure alignment of the technical developments with the product strategy
  • Member of the project team(s), to deliver the project commitments, in terms of cost, quality & timings; complies to the project management processes
  • Lead the technical discussions with the internal & external customers; understand & deploy the customer technical requirements
  • Define and update the project list of materials
  • Identify & help solve the technical roadblocks of the project; identify technical opportunities & implement where agreed
  • Ensure technical compliance to the contract (with customer & suppliers); follow up on technical changes & related changes on the contract terms
  • Manage planning & budget objectives; ensure that the necessary technical reporting is issued
  • Apply the standardization recommendations where appropriate
  • Ensure that the technical documentation is delivered in due time

  • Educational background in Engineering, preferably in electronics or electrics
  • At least 5 years experience in working in railway signalling projects for metros in related roles
  • Good working knowledge of electronic interlocking systems
  • Strong understanding of Safety Related Railway Signalling Systems (SIL 4)
  • Knowledge of Requirements Management (e.g. DOORS) and Configuration Management (e.g. Synergy or similar)
  • Able to take on responsibility and adapt to frequent changes
  • Very strong organisational and planning abilities are mandatory
  • Proactive and decisive problem solver
  • Strong team working abilities
  • Advanced level of Spanish and advanced level of English
  • Willingness to travel
