Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Engineering Technician candidate for the Transportation Department in Stevens Point WI. Work will consist of CAD graphics for developing construction drawings for roadway and utility projects along with providing construction observation services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing CAD graphics to develop drawings for roadway and utility projects including title sheets, construction details; pavement marking plans, signing plans, erosion control plans and plan and profile sheets
  • Providing CAD graphics for traditional right of way plats and Transportation Project Plats
  • Providing CAD graphics for exhibits and displays
  • Observing construction of water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and streets

Projects may include:
  • Interstate highways
  • Urban and rural roadways
  • Multi-use paths
  • Site work
  • Utility work
Periodic survey assistance is also included.

Successful candidates will be based out of the Stevens Point office and may from time to time travel during the day or evenings to project sites or other AECOM offices. Successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a team to advance projects through design and construction.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Facilities Development Manual
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or be able to obtain an Associate's degree in a related field by May 2017
  • Experience in construction observation
  • Experience in providing assistance to survey crew chief for highway and utility design surveys and staking
  • Ability to accurately to prepare construction drawings
  • Knowledge and experience with roadway and utility construction
  • Ability to communicate with engineering team and Project Manager
  • Microstation experience
