WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a Southern California Marketing Manager with strong leadership skills to work closely with office leadership to build the transportation pipeline, execute the company's pursuit process, achieve sales goals, and maintain a strong company brand in Southern California. The Southern California Marketing Manager will be highly engaged in client and pursuit development strategies from capture planning to proposal development to interview coaching, as well as development and mentoring of marketing staff. Ideal candidates will bring: a winning track record in transportation in Southern California, proven success with managing teams and driving quality marketing deliverables, strong communications and facilitation skills, and the ability to develop multiple projects simultaneously. The position is located in our Los Angeles office.

The Southern California Marketing Manager's many responsibilities include:
      • Marketing support for the company's Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange and San Diego offices for the pursuit and capture of projects
      • Support and guidance for the screening of pursuits and Go/No-Go decisions
      • Pursuit management and strategy development from pre-positioning through interview, including: capture planning; leading storyboarding sessions and other strategy development meetings; writing and editing copy for proposals and presentations; and coaching and leading presentation teams
      • Marketing staff management, coaching and skills development for a team of 10 (Marketing Managers, Proposal Managers and Graphic Designer)
      • Advancing client relationship management plans in conjunction with office leadership
      • Supporting annual office strategic planning efforts
      • Maintaining marketing data and other marketing-related compliance activities, and reporting on progress towards annual goals
      • Achieving above 50% hit rate targets (by # and $)
      • Representing the company externally at industry events
      • Conducting business development training and coaching

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Marketing, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience is acceptable.
      • At least 10 years of experience in marketing in the AEC industry
      • Experience leading and winning large transportation pursuits
      • Keen understanding of the competitive environment and regional players
      • Established relationships with teaming partners and key client decision makers
      • Knowledge of local politics in the region
      • Ability to travel to and work from other locations, up to 50 percent throughout Southern California, as needed
      • External presence in industry organizations such as WTS, SMPS, ACEC, etc.
