Role Title: Senior Sales Manager - Telco Sector UAE
Reporting to: General Manager MEP
Direct Reports: None

Area of responsibility: Middle East

Role Purpose:
Responsible for the growth of the HDS business in the Middle East by representing the HDS products and services offering to customers. He/She will manage the business relationship at all levels in order to develop and sustain the maximum level of profitable business achievable for HDS products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential additional sources of revenue for HDS products and services by developing an understanding of the prospect

  • Develop and sell the optimum business and technical solution to qualified opportunities, working with the wider HDS Sales community and Channel Partner Account Managers where necessary.

  • Identify key decision makers and those who influence at all levels within the account and build effective relationships using.

  • Identify potential competitive threats and take timely and effective action to minimise them.

  • Develop customer relationships using a high level of relationship management skills that will clearly establish the strategic IT and other needs of the customer and how they can be satisfied by the HDS business model, Sustain good business relationship over the longer sales cycle.

  • Plan and implement a programme of account management activity and work internally within HDS to ensure the most effective support of the account management process that seeks to optimise customer satisfaction and develop sales opportunity.

  • Develop effective networks within each prospective customer at all levels where most appropriate so as to ensure HDS is the principal consideration for any future systems requirements. Constantly

  • Co-ordinate the activities of all supporting HDS functions within the account including CS&S and GSS.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • At least five years successful track record of negotiating high value orders with a recognised supplier within the I.T. industry or at least three years experience within HDS in a relevant sales/marketing support or SE role.

  • Proven, professional new business and account management skills including multi-level sales negotiation experience.

  • Good level of technical understanding of File & Content solutions with the ability to talk competently to customers about their current technical environment and appropriate HDS solutions.

  • Demonstrable business awareness with the ability to adopt a disciplined and commercial approach to achieving goals and objectives including the ability to create and maintain a business plan.

  • A strong and confident communicator and presenter capable of developing excellent working relationships and who can sell him/herself within the company and to customers and prospects.

  • Has the ability to work within a support infrastructure, co-ordinating and motivating these resources as required.

  • A track record of sales achievement within the new business or account management environment. Appropriate candidates will possess good product and technical understanding.
