Quality Assurance Manager - Manufacturing
£50-60k with benefits including industry leading pension scheme.

Adecco Leeds are currently looking to speak with experienced Quality Assurance Managers from within the manufacturing sector who would be interested in working within a market leading, international business who have a site based in Leeds.

The primary mission of Quality Management is to assure compliance with all international and industry standards.

Tasks / Duties / Key Responsibilities

-Coordinates the activities required to maintain accreditation to all current international and industry certificates held by the business. (e.g. ISO, OHSAS, BRC).
-Monitors the market to identify further needs of the customers (e.g. ISO 50000).
-Organises the quality inspection activities necessary to release the batches.
-Ensure proper handling of non conformities and customer complaints, assuring that the root causes are clearly defined, that corrective actions are put in place and accomplished and that necessary documentation is properly prepared and distributed
-Organises the activities to visit and monitor the most important customers and suppliers, defining and implementing policies and improvement plans when necessary.
-Assures that key performance indicators are issued and continuously checked for each of the most important processes and that corrective actions are put in place and accomplished.
-Interacts with Quality Sub region and other local quality managers to exchange results, improvement projects and define the just necessary quality.
-Put in place the right policy in terms of internal audits.
-Put in place the environmental policy in line with the management committee's strategy and requests.
-Be the legally nominated Heath & Safety advisor for the business in the UK.
-Support the Production System, including 20 keys (LEAN initiative) for the Leeds site. Lead the attainment of the required level for the keys relating to the Quality, Safety & aspects.
-Apply and be a role model for the business Rules of Leadership & Core Values.

Educational requirements:
-Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, or other related business field.
-Qualification in Health & Safety, minimum NEBOSH.
Preferred: HACCP Level 3, LEAN expert or Six Sigma Black Belt

Skills / Abilities
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Proven results orientation.
- Strong ability in challenging current operational work flows for different technical processes (molding, assembly).

Experience Required
- Working with multiple sites.
- Statistical and quality methodologies.
- Quality management experience, ideally in an international business.
- Internal and External auditing.
- Customer and Supplier Management.
- Leading Quality control and Quality Assurance teams.
- Leading continuous improvement teams.
- Proven Safety advisory role.
- Working knowledge of SAP and general MS packages.
