A long established national architectural practice is looking to recruit a Director/Associate Director to manage their North East business. They specialize in providing clients with a full, all-encompassing solution. They are a dynamic, forward thinking practice who deliver innovative solutions from initial concepts and master planning through to delivery and completion. They place great emphasis on creative design as well as providing cost effective results that exceed client expectations and provide sustainable solutions.
They are looking to appoint a Director to deliver on their solid pipeline of projects that are being delivered across the North East.
This is a newly created position which comes at an exciting time for the company who are looking to grow and expand their network of offices from the Midlands and Yorkshire. They are no individual cost centres for the offices which encourages everyone within the organization to operate as a team.
The person coming in will spend the first few months become accustomed to the company's current workload, their practices and their values. They will be meeting with their North East clients, looking at the upcoming pipeline, meeting their established network and beginning the process of taking over projects.
This person will be intrinsic to establishing the presence of the company in the North East in relation to geographical location, as well as being responsible for the recruitment of technical staff for the office and marketing the company's services to the wider North East market.
There is an opportunity for the person coming in to become either an equity or non-equity partner and help drive the future of the whole business forward.
The consultancy is looking for someone who is currently operating at a senior level from either an Architect or an Architect Technician background, someone who is keen to hold a strategic position within a design business as well remaining hands on approach. You need to be familiar with BIM or at least have a willingness to learn BIM/Revit. You need to have an established network that can be utilized to secure further work, you need to be able to operate at a senior level on complex projects, have experience of managing staff and be able to work as part of a team, give full attention to detail, be committed to providing exceptional customer service and have strong business acumen
