We are looking for a Research & Development Manager to be responsible for the supply of R&D services as part of a new and innovative digital forensics (DF) managed service.|
The role will be based in London, facilitating R&D as an interdependent part of the customer's organisation. Your responsibility will include the management of Research & Development costed proposals, to support all levels of the Managed Service. A key element will involve the coordination of innovative solutions from software vendors, DF lab service providers and academia, ensuring that important operational activity is supported.
As the ideal candidate you are likely to be a DF expert, whether that is within industry or post graduate research academic capacity where you will be actively involved in pushing industry boundaries.
Whatever your background you will have an insatiable appetite for innovation whether that be co-ordinating the delivery forensic techniques that can be industrialised into user technologies or working with industry experts to identify new target technologies.
Working within an embedded team you will be an ambassador for the managed service and the DF subject matter expert acting as the "go-to" person for the customer. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability, too translate complex technical situations into accurate briefings for non-experts at all levels within the customer's organisation.
You will be required to uphold our company values, principally focussed on business excellence and success through customer relationships via a strong sense of common purpose in the team. Your aim will be to ensure overall customer satisfaction, identify process improvements, create solutions and work with the customer and our whole supply chain to implement the R&D aspect of the service. You will also be required to assist in growing the account by providing the same service to other customers.

Desirable Skill Requirements:
Markets - Law Enforcement, Home Office
•Knowledge of digital forensics with the associated standards and governance. Understands investigative techniques and the links between people, processes and technology in such an environment
•Knowledge of Public Sector R&D programmes
•Appreciation of ISO 17025 requirements and other standards in relation to Forensic Science
•Security cleared and used to working on secure sites
•Knowledge of R&D programmes within academia
Qualifications - First degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or equivalent experience
