We are seeking to appoint a Monitoring and Development Manager within Geomatics.
To develop and lead monitoring services, innovation and new work streams within the team in conjunction with the Associate Director and act in a senior capacity resolving issues as they arise.
To provide senior technical responsibility and support with monitoring and innovative survey techniques, carrying out safety critical duties as required.
To provide technical advice to the Associate Director in development of the team.
Responsible for allocating weekly resource and input into the necessary systems and ensuring the team is able to meet client and contractual demands.
Assisting the Associate Director in the tendering/scoping of works as appropriate in the return of planning and returning of tenders. Acting as Project Manager to allocated projects upon successful award.
Possessing a wealth of experience and a detailed knowledge of varied survey disciplines (preferably within railway infrastructure) the individual will be able to develop and demonstrate expertise in both manual and automated surveying techniques, progressing Surveyors and being responsible for team activity.
Lead on site activities and develop new work streams through presentations and business development.
Develop and undertake QA procedures and assist the Associate Director in gaining relevant industry accreditations.
Qualifications and Training Courses
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience of monitoring assets using traditional geomatics techniques, specification of systems, remote instrumentation and emerging technologies.
A thorough understanding of the installation of and implementation of monitoring systems.
Experience of project management, including client liaison.
Preferred line management experience.
Exposure to varied survey techniques, including UAV surveying, laser scanning and associated processing techniques.
Preferred but not essential:
Network Rail Sentinel card up to Controller of Site Safety or Safe Work Leader 1.
Civil Engineering site safety training.
Core Planner Skills stage 2.
IOSH Managing Safely.
