They are currently looking for a Plumber to work on a static site in Abingdon.
Planned Preventative Maintenance to mechanical systems, heating plant & transmission pipe work. All in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, company safety procedures and contract specification. Mechanical installation works, including domestic plumbing, heating radiators, pumps and associated equipment.
Changing radiator valves. Respond to Reactive Works to include all domestic plumbing and heating pipework issues. Source replacement parts, availability, for repair works and materials for installation work, obtaining quotes and preparing purchase order requests as per the company procurement system. Correct and timely completion of paperwork and test certificates. Provide engineering condition reports and quotations where required.
Qualifications and Experience Time served NVQ/C&G qualified in a pipefitting, plumbing or mechanical discipline Previous experience on of working within a similar commercial / industrial site Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification) essential qualifications: minimum City & Guilds parts 1 & 2. A good understanding of domestic water and industrial heating systems with the ability to read drawings and identify key control components, interlocks and protection devices. Experience of working on boiler plant, water systems, associated equipment and controls. Excellent knowledge of pipe work systems, materials, pipe sizes, flange types and fittings suitable for use on various types of heating and domestic plant. A good understanding of the Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999 and Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000.
