Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor|
Location: Bexleyheath, South East London
Salary: Competitive + generous package
My client is a large main contractor that covers a variety of sectors across the construction industry. They have an annual turnover of over £1bn and employee over 2000 people and are able to boast a history of working on some of the country's most prestigious and iconic projects.
This role is based in London working in their Southern office. The work conducted out of this office be across a range of New Build sectors including Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Residential projects.
They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their existing commercial team. Initially you will be leading a £22m Warehouse project, you will be commercially responsible for this project from procurement through to final accounts.
Your duties will include:
•Procurement of sub-contractors
•Management of subcontractor accounts including measurements, variations and valuations
•Agree final accounts with sub-contractors and client
•Management and training of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
•Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time
•Monthly Cost reporting
•Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team. Help ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded
•To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

The successful individual will be highly motivated and ambitious, with a strong work ethic, an incisive mind and will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
Educated to Degree level, or equivalent experience
Experience within a similar role for a Main Contractor
Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
