My client is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator and Sheet Metal Work Programmer to work in the sheet metal fabrication team based in Bedford. You will be required to produce stainless steel products to the expected quality standards, on time and in full. You will be a reliable team member and work with your team to achieve the targets set whilst maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

• Operate Press Brake, setting tools and programming;
• Programming of sheet metal work using Inventor, Autocad and Trutops;
• Assist in the programming for the press brake;
• Minor maintenance of press brake machines;
• Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided);
• Executing works orders to the product requirements, in a timely manner with the desired quality and accuracy;
• Working of stainless steel components 0.9mm to 3.00mm thickness;
• Quality Assurance by inspection of own work and others for manufactured and purchased finished products along with the associated paper work;
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.

• Experienced in the full use press brake operations;
• Experienced programmer using Autocad, Trutops and Inventor software;
• Experience with Radan software would be an advantage but not essential;
• Able to read drawings and perform measurements;
• Counterbalance Fork Truck licence
• Workshop health and safety.
• Experience in finishing operations
• CNC Punch & Guillotine

The hours of work are 39 hours per week, 7am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am - 12 noon on a Friday. They offer a competitive salary and 25 days+ holidays per year
