About the Role
Careys are looking to recruit a Regional Quality Assurance Manager covering the North of England & Scotland region. We are looking for an exceptional QAM who will demonstrate clear leadership ability and an exceptional 'Teamwork Ethic' - who is not only highly motivated to control and positively influence the day-to-day quality functions on the complex projects within the region - but is a driver of 'The Carey Way' vision, who can see the bigger picture and demonstrate the ability to pull our teams together through collaborative working.
This is a newly created opportunity within the Group, which will support and enhance Careys current Quality Assurance functions and continued growth. On a day-to-day basis, the RQAM will work as part of the Regional Operations Director's team but will have a direct line of reporting to the Company Quality Manager.
The position will be regionally based in Leeds/North of England/Scotland and will involve extensive travelling as necessary to effectively support and audit the dedicated project sites at Careys. This post holds a strong auditing element and duties will include supporting the regional team and the project sites in all matters relating to Quality Assurance, and auditing site operations to ensure Careys works are to the required standards in every respect. It is envisaged that at least 50% of working time will be spent at project sites with the other 50% focused on writing reports and building a culture of improvement through having positive involvement in the strategic direction of the department.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate, who is able to see the 'bigger picture' and be influential in driving through positive change through building and sustaining excellent working relationships at all levels within the Group. You will demonstrate an inherent desire to 'own' your projects and propel them to standards of excellence. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of how best to deal with growing organisational challenges, have excellent decision-making ability as well as an ability to work effectively with stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate your ability to influence, listen and instrument making positive differences for the longer-term visions of the Group.
